Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort sits 23.7 miles from Orlando International Airport (MCO), and it’s one of only three hotels on Disney’s resort monorail loop. We drove that airport run in 26 to 35 minutes on SR-528, and once you’re there, Magic Kingdom is a short monorail ride with EPCOT one change away. I’ll walk you through Polynesian Village transportation from the airport curb to every park gate, so you know which rides to book and which ones Disney already covers.

Quick Summary: Polynesian Village transportation from Orlando International Airport (MCO) costs about $145 in our Luxury SUV or about $119 in a Luxury Sedan, for a drive we measured at 26 to 35 minutes on SR-528. Once you’re there, the resort monorail and a water launch serve Magic Kingdom, EPCOT is one monorail transfer away, and Disney buses cover Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. Disney’s free airport bus ended in 2022, so the airport run is the one leg you book yourself.

How do you get from Orlando International Airport to Polynesian Village?

You get from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Polynesian Village by a private transfer, the Mears Connect shuttle or a rideshare, because no Disney bus serves the airport any more. Every one of them ends at 1600 Seven Seas Drive; what changes is who shares the vehicle and what you pay.

Our prices are flat for the whole vehicle and already carry the SR-528 tolls, any car seats you need and a driver who meets you at the curb; the tip is optional and stays outside the quote. Our Disney transportation page lists the other resorts we serve on the same Polynesian Village transportation terms.

That’s our Luxury Sedan, a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which I’d suggest for two people with three cases or fewer. Add a fourth suitcase or a car seat and you’ll want the Luxury SUV in the table’s bottom row.

When you book your Polynesian Village transportation, I’d send the flight number, how many adults and children are coming and the suitcase count, because those three answers choose the vehicle. Before the trip, we send your driver’s contact details and our meeting instructions, and because we follow the flight, a late landing costs you nothing extra.

How far is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort from Orlando airport?

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is 23.7 miles from Orlando International Airport (MCO) by the fastest road, and we measured the drive at 26 to 35 minutes via SR-528 on October 9, 2026. The SR-417 route runs 24.9 miles and took us 28 to 40 minutes.

The resort sits in Disney’s Magic Kingdom Resort Area, on the Seven Seas Lagoon just outside Magic Kingdom park. For Polynesian Village transportation home, I’d book your return against the top of that range, because a morning flight leaves you nothing spare.

You’ll see the lagoon before you see the lobby, and that view is the reason most guests choose this resort. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort page lists the address and the three ways out of it: watercraft, monorail and motorcoach.

How do you get from the Polynesian to each Disney park?

From the Polynesian, you reach Magic Kingdom on the resort monorail or a water launch, EPCOT on the monorail with one transfer, and Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs on Disney buses. That’s the whole of Polynesian Village transportation inside Walt Disney World, and none of it needs a car.

Disney’s buses start 45 minutes before a park opens and stop an hour after it closes, and some routes involve a change, so I’d check Get Directions in the My Disney Experience app before you set off. For park-to-park hops, our guide to getting from Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom shows how the pieces join up.

If you’d rather skip the bus queue, Disney’s Minnie Van service runs within Walt Disney World through the Lyft app, priced by distance with a fare estimate shown before you ride. I’d keep it for the evening you’re tired, because the monorail and buses cost you nothing as a Polynesian guest.

Does the Polynesian have an airport shuttle?

The Polynesian has no airport shuttle of its own, and Disney’s Magical Express, the free bus that once ran from MCO, stopped taking arrivals on January 1, 2022, according to Spectrum News 13. Your shared option today is Mears Connect, a private company you book directly.

The Mears Connect FAQ prices your standard seat at $16 for adults and $13 for children aged 3 to 9 each way, and Mears adds a 6% fuel surcharge. Its direct Express costs at least $250, booked in both directions, for groups of up to four.

For two adults, that puts the shared shuttle at about $33.92 each way, against about $145 for our Luxury SUV. I’d pay for the private car only when the bags, the hour or the occasion call for it, and an anniversary usually does.

When is a private car worth it from the Polynesian?

A private car is worth it from the Polynesian for the trips Disney transport doesn’t make: the airport, Universal Orlando Resort and anywhere off Disney property. Everything else in your Polynesian Village transportation plan is already covered by the monorail, the launches and the buses.

For a Universal day, our rate sheet lists the Walt Disney World area to Universal at $102 one way in a Luxury Sedan and $115 in a Luxury SUV or Van, or $204 and $230 round trip for the sedan and the SUV. Inside Disney, I’d stick with the complimentary monorail you’re staying on, and our Magic Kingdom transportation page covers the days you’d rather be driven to the gate.

If you’re still choosing a hotel, our Animal Kingdom Lodge transportation guide shows how a bus-only resort changes the same week. I’d weigh that while you’re choosing, because the monorail is the quiet advantage of Polynesian Village transportation on every park morning.

What does an anniversary arrival at the Polynesian look like?

An anniversary arrival at the Polynesian costs about $145 one way in our Luxury SUV, or about $289 for both airport runs booked together, which is $144.50 each for a couple. Picture the Matsuda couple, back for their tenth anniversary with four suitcases between them, landing at Orlando International Airport (MCO) in the late afternoon.

Our Luxury Sedan carries three suitcases, so the fourth bag decides it: they book the Luxury SUV, which carries six. We track their flight, they use the free 15-minute stop for a few groceries, and about half an hour later they’re at 1600 Seven Seas Drive.

The next morning, the monorail takes them to Magic Kingdom without any car at all. Their only other booking is the return to MCO for a morning flight, and if they add a Universal evening, the Luxury SUV is $115 each way on our rate sheet; for a couple at this resort, I’d book the airport runs and let Disney handle the rest of the Polynesian Village transportation.

Luxury Sedan seats up to 3, about $119. Best for two travelers with three suitcases or fewer.

Van seats up to 10, about $175. Best for two families sharing one arrival.
