The quick answer

The Walt Disney World Swan, the Walt Disney World Dolphin and the Swan Reserve are three separate hotels facing each other across Crescent Lake, all Marriott-operated but sitting on Walt Disney World property. Drivers who do not know the area routinely deliver guests to the wrong one, because the addresses are close together and the names are nearly identical. Give us the exact hotel when you book and your chauffeur pulls up at the right porte-cochere, which matters more here than at almost any other Disney address. The genuinely useful thing to know about these three: EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios are both walkable, so most guests need a car for arrivals, departures and the parks they cannot walk to, rather than for everything. What does a car from the Swan or Dolphin cost?

Rates are flat and per vehicle. Here is one of the more common trips guests at these hotels book once they are on property, shown one-way and as a return.

Insider note

Put the hotel name in the booking, not "Swan and Dolphin". They are two buildings with two entrances about a five-minute walk apart, and the Swan Reserve is a third across the road. Guests who write the pair as one name are the ones standing outside the wrong lobby with luggage.

Why a private car here

Do you even need a car at the Swan and Dolphin?

Honestly, less than at most Disney hotels. Two parks are on foot. Here is where a car still earns its place.

Arrival and departure days

The two days with luggage. Everything in between at these hotels can often be walked or taken on Disney transport.

The parks you cannot walk to

Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are a genuine journey from Crescent Lake, and Disney bus routes from these hotels are not the quickest on property.

Off-property dinners

Disney Springs, ChampionsGate and the Kissimmee restaurants are all easy by car and awkward otherwise, especially coming back late.

The Marriott difference

These are not Disney-operated hotels, so some Disney transport benefits work differently here than guests expect. A private car removes the question entirely.

The right entrance, first time

Three hotels, three porte-cocheres, near-identical addresses. Your chauffeur is told which one before the day.

Conference days at the Dolphin

The Dolphin hosts large meetings, and a car that waits beats a Disney bus timetable when you are moving between sessions and dinner.

Get the address right

Swan, Dolphin or Swan Reserve, and why it matters

Three hotels within a few minutes' walk of each other, with three separate arrival points. This is the single most common cause of a delayed pickup on Crescent Lake.

HotelHow to recognize itArrival point
Walt Disney World SwanThe smaller original, twin swan statues on the roofIts own porte-cochere on the lake side
Walt Disney World DolphinThe large pyramid opposite, dolphin statues, most conference spaceSeparate entrance, a few minutes' walk from the Swan
Swan ReserveThe newest tower, across Epcot Resorts BoulevardA different building entirely, own driveway

What to put in the booking

  • The exact hotel name - "Swan", "Dolphin" or "Swan Reserve", never the pair written as one
  • Your room block or conference if you are at the Dolphin for an event, since entrances differ during large meetings
  • Whether you have luggage - it decides sedan or SUV more often than the passenger count does
  • Your flight number on arrival day, so a delay moves the pickup rather than costing it

A note on Disney transport from these hotels

Because the Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve are Marriott-operated rather than Disney-operated, some things guests assume about Disney resort transport work differently here. Boat and walking access to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios is excellent. Bus service to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom is where most guests decide a private car is worth it.

On foot from Crescent Lake

What can you walk to from the Swan and Dolphin?

More than from almost any other Disney-area hotel, which is the real reason people book here.

  • EPCOT, through the International Gateway - A walk of roughly ten to fifteen minutes around Crescent Lake brings you to EPCOT's back entrance, which puts you into the World Showcase rather than the front plaza. Boats run the same route if you would rather not walk.
  • Disney's Hollywood Studios - A longer walk, around twenty to twenty-five minutes along the path past the Boardwalk, or the same trip by boat. Comfortably done in the morning, less appealing at the end of a park day in August.
  • The Disney Boardwalk - Directly across the water, with restaurants and evening entertainment. This is the closest thing to a night out that does not need a car.
  • Yacht Club and Beach Club - Neighbouring resorts on the same lake, worth knowing about for dining reservations even if you are not staying there.
  • What you cannot walk to - Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs and everything off property. These are the trips this page exists for.

Private transport here is best for:

  • Arrival and departure days - when luggage makes walking and buses unattractive
  • The far parks - Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom mornings, where the bus is slow from Crescent Lake
  • Off-property dinners - reservations elsewhere, especially the journey back
  • Dolphin conferences - attendees moving between sessions and evening events
  • Small children - a twenty-five minute walk to Hollywood Studios is theoretical
  • The operator question - these hotels are not Disney-run, and what that means for you

Local knowledge

What do guests get wrong about the Swan and Dolphin?

Specific to these three hotels, and all of it learned from actual pickups.

"Swan and Dolphin" is not an address

It is two hotels. Written as one name it gives the driver a fifty-fifty chance, and the wrong guess costs you a walk with your cases.

The Swan Reserve is across the road

It is not part of the Swan building. Guests booked there who write "Swan" end up in the wrong lobby of a different hotel.

The Hollywood Studios walk is longer than it looks

Around twenty-five minutes in Florida heat with a stroller. Fine in January, a different proposition in July.

Conference weeks change the driveway

When the Dolphin has a large meeting, arrival traffic backs up and staging moves. Tell us if you are there for an event and we plan around it.

Magic Kingdom is the slow one

From Crescent Lake it is the least convenient park by Disney transport. It is the trip guests most often wish they had booked a car for.

Departure day needs an early car

These hotels are a long way from Orlando International Airport (MCO) in morning traffic. Book the return leg when you book the arrival.

Popular Areas & Destinations We Serve

From top attractions to major transit hubs, Orlux gets you where you want to go. Whether it’s shopping in Kissimmee, marine adventures at SeaWorld, or catching a flight at the airport, our clean cars and courteous drivers are ready when you are.

Simple booking

How do you book a car to the Swan or Dolphin?

Three steps, and the first one is naming the right hotel.

1

Tell us which hotel

Swan, Dolphin or Swan Reserve, plus where you are going and when. Call or text 689-407-2496 or use the form. Flight number on arrival day.

2

We quote it flat

One fixed figure for the vehicle, confirmed in writing before you commit, with the correct entrance noted on the booking.

3

Your chauffeur is at the right door

At the porte-cochere of the hotel you are actually in, ahead of your pickup time, with a hand for the luggage.
