What is Orlux?

Orlux is a private, pre-booked luxury transportation service based in Orlando, Florida. We provide airport, cruise and theme park transfers also including hourly charter rides.

What areas do you serve?

Orlux primarily serves Orlando and Central Florida, including

  • Orlando International Airport(MCO)
  • Sanford Airport (SFB)
  • Disney World,
  • Universal Orlandox
  • International Drive
  • Port Canaveral.

If you are looking to book outside of Centrals Florida we also provide guaranteed lowest rates anywhere in the state of Florida. Our vast network of companies and drivers allows them to source rides across the state; including

Are your services available 24/7?

Yes. Our transportation services are availble day and night. This includes late-night airport pickups and early morning drop-offs. 

How early does the driver arrive for my pickup?

Drivers typically arrive 10–15 minutes early to ensure a smooth and stress-free start to your trip.

Booking & Reservations

How do I book a ride with Orlux?

You can book directly through our website’s booking form, call us, or text. Once we receive your details we will be able to send you a secure, payable invoice and payment link to confirm your reservation. Any form of payment is possible.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 24–48 hours in advance, especially for:

  • Airport
  • Cruise
  • Large group/family transfers

Same-day bookings are available depending on vehicle and driver availability. Advanced reservations are recommended in order to secure the ideal vehicle and time.

Pricing & Payments

How is pricing calculated?

Our pricing is per vehicle, not per person. Generally based on:

  • A flat rate per trip, or hourly charter rate

We do not use a metered rate like taxis.

Are your prices per person or per vehicle?

Our rates are per vehicle, not per person.This allows families and groups to get a better value compared to a shuttle service while also getting the benefit of a private transfer..

Is gratuity included?

Gratuity is optional but recommended. 

  • Your initial quote will not include gratuity  
  • A 20% tip paid directly to the driver is a standard in the industry and preferred 
  • This can be included in the initial payment or paid directly to the driver. 

Yes. Orlux offers flat rates for common destinations within Orlando including: 

  • Orlando International Airport (MCO) ↔ Disney World area resorts (Starting at $100)
  • MCO ↔ Universal Orlando / International Drive (Starting at $100) 
  • Orlando ↔ Port Canaveral cruise terminals (Starting at $180) 
Are tolls, airport fees, and parking included in the price?

Rather than worrying about the small fees we make sure to provide customers with an all inclusive rate. Compared to other companies that add up to five different charges on top of your initial quote, we take it a step above by including all possible costs from the beginning. You won’t be surprised by hidden add-ons after booking.  

Do you offer discounts for round-trip bookings or repeat customers?

Orlux values and takes care of their return with the upmost care and responsibility.

  • Round-trip bookings can often receive up to 10% off the total quote.
  • We also periodically run promotions for popular routes, such as MCO ↔ Disney and MCO ↔ Port Canaveral.

Ask about current offers when you request your quote.

Is there a different price for SUVs versus Vans?

Yes. SUVs and Vans are priced differently. 

  • SUVs are best for smaller families or groups (up to 6 passengers with luggage).
  • Vans and Sprinters are ideal for larger families, groups traveling together, or cruise and convention groups (around 10–14 passengers).

In most cases, a van or Sprinter may be slightly more, with pricing often starting around $10+ above SUV rates, depending on the route.

How much is a ride from MCO to Port Canaveral?

Orlux starts their MCO to Port Canaveral rides at $180. Final pricing depends on your vehicle type, number of passengers, and travel time.

How much is a ride from MCO to a Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Universal?

MCO transfers to the greater Disney world area start at $100 depending on the exact location. 

Do Disney, Universal or Orlando resorts offer free transfers?

Unfortunately most of the resorts do not offer a free transfer anymore. Guests at these resorts often find themselves making a booking directly with Orlux. As of January 1st, 2022 Walt Disney World permanently ended Disney’s magical Express, the free shuttle between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Disney Resort Hotels. 

That means none of the official Walt Disney World Resort hotels currently include a free airport transfer, including:

  • Value Resorts: All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, All-Star Sports, Pop Century, Art of Animation
  • Moderate Resorts: Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans (French Quarter & Riverside), Fort Wilderness Cabins
  • Deluxe Resorts: Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Yacht Club, BoardWalk Inn, Riviera Resort, plus the Deluxe Villas (Bay Lake Tower, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, etc.)

Even luxury resorts such as Four Seasons Orlando, Waldorf Astoria and JW Marriott do not include a free airport shuttle. 

  • Disney/Universal hotel shuttles: free around the resort, no free airport transfer
  • Mears/Universal SuperStar Shuttle: shared, per-person fee, set schedules
  • Orlux: private, per-vehicle flat rate, direct to hotel, child seats, luggage help, etc.

Vehicles & Capacity

What types of vehicles do you offer?

We specialize in private, black car style transportation. Vehicles such as 

  • Suburban 
  • Escalade
  • Ford Transit van 
  • Mercedes Sprinter van 
  • Mercedes S-class

These vehicles work really well for transfers to and from Orlando Airport (MCO), Disney, Universal and Port Canaveral. All vehicles are the latest models, well maintained and are accompanied by professional chauffeurs that know the Orlando areas very well. 

How many passengers can each vehicle hold?

Capacity depends on the specific vehicle:

Sedans:

  • Up to 4 passengers
  • About 4 suitcases
  • Space for 1 booster seat and 1 car seat

SUVs:

  • Up to 6 passengers
  • Around 6 suitcases
  • Space for 2 booster seats and 1 car seat

Ford Transit vans:

  • Up to 10 passengers
  • Around 12 suitcases
  • Space for 2 booster seats and 2 car seats

Mercedes Sprinter vans:

  • Up to 14 passengers
  • Around 15 suitcases
  • Space for 2 booster seats and 2 car seats

Limousine (on request):

  • Typically up to 8 passengers
  • Around 5 suitcases
  • Limited child seat capacity depending on layout

Which vehicle is best for my type of trip?

Here’s a quick rule of thumb for Orlando:

  • Airport ⇄ Disney / Universal (4–5 people): Luxury SUV
  • Airport ⇄ Disney / Universal (2 people): Luxury Sedan 
  • Airport ⇄ Disney / Universal (6–10 people or lots of luggage): Ford Transit van
  • Airport ⇄ Port Canaveral cruises: Sprinter van is usually best, especially with cruise luggage
  • Corporate, conventions, or VIP travel: Either vehicle works; many business travelers prefer the privacy and legroom of our SUVs or Sprinter executive seating.
How much luggage can your vehicles handle?

We know Orlando trips often include strollers, car seats, and shopping bags. As a guideline:

  • SUVs:
    • 4–5 full-size checked bags
    • Plus several carry-ons, backpacks, and a folded stroller
  • Sprinter Vans:
    • 10+ checked bags
    • Multiple carry-ons, strollers, and personal items

Airport & Theme Park Transfers

How far is Orlando from Kissimmee?

Orlando and Kissimmee are neighboring cities. 

  • Driving time from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to the Disney/Kissimmee area is usually 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic and exact location.

Since traffic around Disney and I-4 can be busy during peak season, we always recommend allowing extra time for your transfer. If you are unsure about how much time you should allot feel free to contact us and we would be happy to provide a recommendation. 

Do you provide transfers from Orlando International Airport (MCO)?

Yes. We specialize in private airport transfers from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to:

  • Hotels and resorts
  • Vacation homes and Airbnbs
  • Disney and Universal on-site and partner hotels

We serve the entire Orlando resort area and beyond.

How do airport pickups work?

Your driver will monitor your flight and receive you at the bottom of the escalators once you reach baggage claim at MCO. Your driver will be holding a sign with your name and will help pick up your baggage from the carousel. You will then take the elevators down to the private transfer area where your vehicle will be waiting for you while your driver loads your luggage,  

  1. We track your flight for delays or early arrivals.
  2. Your driver will meet you downstairs at baggage claim, at the bottom of the escalators.
  3. Your driver will hold a sign with your name, assist you at the baggage carousel, and help with your luggage.
  4. You’ll then take the elevators down to the private transfer area, where your vehicle will be waiting.
  5. Once your luggage is loaded, you’re on your way to your hotel, resort, home, or cruise.

You’ll receive driver contact details and meeting instructions before your arrival for extra peace of mind.

Do you service Sanford Airport (SFB) as well?

Yes. Orlux also provides private transfers from Sanford Airport (SFB) to Disney, Universal, International Drive, Port Canaveral, and other Central Florida destinations.

Do you provide transportation to Disney World and Universal Studios?

Yes. Majority of our guests are heading to:

  • Walt Disney World Resort (all on-site Disney hotels and Good Neighbor Hotels)
  • Universal Orlando Resort (Universal hotels and nearby properties)
  • International Drive, SeaWorld, and other resorts 
Can you pick us up from a Disney or Universal hotel for dinner or shopping?

Yes. We can pick you up from any Disney or Universal hotel and take you to:

  • Disney Springs
  • Universal CityWalk
  • International Drive restaurants
  • Shopping areas like Vineland Premium Outlets or The Florida Mall

You can book these as point-to-point transfers or as hourly charters if you’d like the driver to stay with you and be ready when you’re done.

Do you offer Port Canaveral or cruise transportation?

Yes, we provide private transfers to and from Port Canaveral for all major cruise lines. This is a popular route for families taking a cruise from Port Canaveral, 

When booking Port Canaveral transportation, please share:

  • Your ship name
  • Boarding time or disembarkation time
  • Number of passengers and approximate luggage

This helps us schedule the best pickup time to avoid stress and long waits at the port.

Can you do multiple stops on the way (e.g., grocery store or picking up family)?

Orlux offers a complimentary 15 minute stop anywhere you would like. Whether you are picking up tickets from a theme park or need a couple of last minute cruise items we would be pleased to accommodate you. 

Child Seats, Luggage & Special Requests

Do you offer child seats?

Yes, child seats can be provided upon request, depending on availability.Please specify:

  • Number of children
  • Ages of children
  • Type of seat needed (infant, toddler, booster)
How much luggage can I bring?

Our SUVs and vans have generous luggage space, but capacity varies by group size and vehicle. When booking, let us know:

  • How many checked bags
  • How many carry-ons
  • Whether you’re bringing strollers or special items
Can you accommodate special requests?

Yes. We frequently accommodate special requests such as:

  • Multiple stops
  • Grocery or pharmacy stops
  • VIP setups (birthday, anniversary, honeymoon)
  • Quiet rides for sleeping kids
  • Help coordinating large family or group arrivals

Mention any special requests in your booking form or message, and we’ll confirm what’s possible and any additional costs in advance.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans change.

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more before pickup typically receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup may incur a fee, depending on driver scheduling and route distance.
What happens if my flight is delayed?

Your driver will continuously monitor your flight status. If your flight is delayed we will make sure we arrive at the most convenient time, free of charge.

Are your services pet-friendly?

Yes, any and every pet can easily be accommodated. Just let us know in advance so we can prepare appropriately. Service animals are always permitted. 

Safety & Licensing

Are your drivers licensed and insured?

Yes. All Orlux drivers hold the required licenses, and our vehicles are insured as commercial vehicles as required by local regulations. Safety and compliance are top priorities. We would be more than happy to provide proof of licensure. 

How do you maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness?

Our vehicles go through regular maintenance and safety inspections.

After each trip, we:

  • Check the vehicle for any issues
  • Clean the interior
  • Sanitize high-touch areas

This helps us provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every passenger.

Are your drivers background-checked?

Absolutely. Every driver completes a level-2 background check, driving record screening, and ongoing compliance reviews to ensure the highest safety standards.
